Hollie + Jake’s
Romantic White Chapel Kalbar Wedding
These guys would have to be one of the nicest and most awesome couples I have ever photographed! Their White Chapel Kalbar wedding was absolutely beautiful, the weather was amazing and everything just lined up to be the perfect wedding day for Hollie and Jake.
White Chapel Kalbar would have to be one of my favourite venues, located about 40 minutes from Ipswich, Kalbar is a picturesque country town featuring rolling hills and gorgeous mountain ranges including Mount French. A gorgeous wedding location for wedding photos as you can explore the white chapel itself along with the stunning Black Hall, rustic barn, courtyard as well as country fields and rolling hills all within five minutes drive. I feel like White Chapel Kalbar and Black Hall Kalbar where designed with photographers in mind as every angle of this stunning venue is just beautiful to photograph.
Hollie and Jake wanted to spend some time together before the ceremony and decided to share a first look. If you haven’t heard of a first look before, it is a special moment a few hours before the wedding where the bride and groom get to see each other for the first time on their wedding day. No words can describe the tender emotions that you feel seeing your bride or your groom for the first time on your wedding day and having a first look allows you to make the most of these moments and capture those sweet embraces.
Hollie and Jake had their first look at Herrmann House Kalbar which is just down the road from the Kalbar Chapel and has the same beautiful timeless style, featuring black, white and classic wood. Herrmann House bridal suite is exquisite and I highly recommend you check it out if you are getting married at White Chapel. Having a first look at Herrmann House was ideal for Hollie and Jake and allowed them to spend time with their guests at cocktail hour before having a shorter bridal portrait session in the countryside towards sunset.
The ceremony was an emotional, heart-felt and fun as they asked their guests to raise their hand and commit to having a fun evening with dancing and great food. I loved this special touch! We enjoyed photography in an around the Chapel, Black Hall, courtyard and barn, finishing at a beautiful country location on the scenic rim, just 5 minutes drive from White Chapel Kalbar. Hollie and Jake wanted the beautiful country side and mountain ranges for their portraits and I am so glad they chose this location as it was ideal. The couple then enjoyed some time with their guests at cocktail hour and playing games on the lawn before having their reception in Black Hall.
Thanks so much for inviting me to share your special day as your photographer Hollie and Jake!
